Why do we feel we have to control our feelings and ‘just get on with it?’ We tell ourselves if we ignore it, it will go away, especially if it's something negative. We convince ourselves we can move on from it.
The problem is – it doesn’t. It keeps coming back, especially at times of stress when those memories we tried so hard to push down regurgitate, spilling over and filling our thoughts.
They leave us feeling inadequate

We can feel anxious or depressed
Maybe we isolate ourselves, believing we don't fit on
That negative mind chatter fills our heads and we just can't stop them. They even build up with more and more negative thoughts and beliefs piling on to the already rubbish feelings.
